ADMISSION TO BACHELOR OF MEDICINE AND BACHELOR OF SURGERY [MBBS]

[Instructions for Students who have Secured Admission at this College for MBBS till 2nd Round]

           

Welcome to Pramukhswami Medical College, Karamsad. We are delighted to welcome the new batch of 2025 to our campus. Joining at medical college will be carried out on 7th October, 2025 from 09.00 am onwards. Classes shall begin immediately afterwards.

 

Following shall be the process at the time of joining:

1. While coming to the college in person on 7th October, 2025 please ensure that you have the downloaded, printed and filled copy of following forms along with self-attested requisite attachments:

a. College Registration Form [link for Form UA]

c. Undertaking for Anti-ragging to be filled by both student and parent [link for Anti Ragging Form]

2. Students who have passed their 12th Standard from other than Gujarat Board are hereby directed to bring their Original Migration Certificate by 15-11-2025.

Instructions for Availing Hostel Facilities

Students who want to avail hostel facility, are required to fill up the following Google form by 06th October, 2025, 11:00 AM: Click Here for Application Form for Hostel Accommodation at PSMC

Allotment of the hostel will be displayed on the notice board of the college on 7th October, 2025 when candidate comes for joining.

Instructions for First Day at College (07-10-2025, Tuesday)

  1. Students and Parents are to assemble in Lecture Hall 1 and Lecture Hall 3 by 9 am, as per the list on the notice board at the college and website.
  2. Only one (1) parent/guardian is allowed with the student in the Lecture Halls.  Any other family member accompanying the student shall have to wait outside the college premises till the orientation session is finished.
  3. Those who opt for hostel facility, shall have to pay the requisite fee and approach the Hostel Warden for allotment, after completion of the orientation program.
  4. Please note that no visitor/ parent will be allowed to stay in the hostel after allotment.
  5. Pro-rata fee for the current month shall have to be deposited for hostel, which shall be non-refundable.

Please bring a bank cheque book for payments and/or through an online mode of payment to pay the hostel fees. Cash payment will not be accepted. The bank details for transfer of fees are as provided below. You are encouraged to add these in your beneficiary profile to enable easy transactions.

Information Regarding DM Neonatology Program (2024)

1) Tuition Fee: Rs. 16,50,000 /- per year.

2) Stipend: (Equivalent to Govt. of Gujarat)

First Year Rs. 01,20,960/- per month

3) Accommodation:

Shared accommodation is available on campus with a combined hostel and mess fee of Rs. 01,15,000/- per year.

4) About the Department of Neonatology:

Shree Krishna Hospital, the teaching hospital of Medical College, is the only facility of its kind between the cities of Ahmedabad and Vadodara. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) was established in the year 2000 when MD and DCH Pediatrics programs started.

The NICU has been upgraded over the last two decades with state-of-the-art facilities and now has separate inborn and out-born NICU wings at different locations in the hospital. The bed occupancy in the department over the last 3 years ranges from 75 to 85 percent. The Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology handles complex obstetrics cases. The Dept. of Neonatology also receives critical neonates directly referred from PHCs, CHCs, and private Pediatricians in the districts of Anand and Kheda.

The department has two professors with experience in Neonatology of more than 13 and 10 years respectively, and one Assistant Professor with experience in Neonatology of more than 4 years. The faculty of the department are actively involved in leadership roles in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program of IAP and NNF for several years. Dr. Somashekhar Nimbalkar, Head of the Department is the editor and on the editorial board of several journals. He is a founder and trustee of the KMC Foundation, in India. The faculty of the department have published overall 110 papers in PubMed-indexed journals.
